Her parents owned a chain of liquor stores and her career began with the importing of private label spirits to those liquor stores. She and Ravinder founded the Minhas Craft Brewery and Minhas Distillery in Monroe, Wisconsin and The Minhas Brewery in Calgary, Alberta.
